Visual MP3 is an interesting program that differentiates itself from other MP3 software tools by allowing you to actually view the lyrics of the songs you are playing. Not that this is automatic since MP3 files don't come with this kind of data usually. The developers allow access from the program to search some online databases to search for the lyrics to your MP3s. And, if you can't find them, you can always make them yourself. All you need to do is play an MP3 file through their program and add time stamp marks at the beginning of each line. To do this, simply play the song, and whenever a new line starts, press a button and it will add a time stamp. The end result is an extra data file used by the program to visually display lyrics as the song is playing, keeping perfect beat.
Displaying lyrics isn't all that Visual MP3 does. The program includes a build in ripper and LAME encoder for CD to MP3 converting. You can also easily add artist and track information in the same interface when you rip and encode the files. In addition, the program allows you to organize your MP3s, rename files in mass quantities, generate HTML lists and create regular .m3u normal playlists.
Overall, I was very impressed by the clean and easy to use interface of the program. Using the lyric creator was a little difficult at first but once I actually read the directions and tried it I found it was easy. The program adds a clever dimension to MP3 software and is worth a try. The demo version is fully functional but only allows limited conversions.
